EMPOWERING SCHOOL, THE
Getting Everyone on Board to Help Teenagers
William Fibkins
Paper, $17.95
5½” x 8½”
ISBN 0-89390-330-2

Quantity:

William L. Fibkins’ Empowering School program has helped thousands of young people become better listeners, quit smoking and drinking, stay in school, increase their academic performance and help each other through crisis. The key, says Fibkins, is getting everyone on board: getting everyone in your school to own and share responsibility for your students’ healthy development. The author shares stories and information about how the Empowering School works, including the seven steps for creating one. In addition to the core program, The Empowering School includes six related sample programs: smoking cessation, alcohol abuse, addicted students, identification and intervention, eating disorders, the alternative school and school crisis.
