Work included designing and
applying the decorative stenciling throughout the church, replicating the
murals, all of the bronzing and gilding, repairing statues and broken ornaments,
marble imitation and wood graining, as well as all of the plaster and paint
work. Originally the church was home to German immigrants. Now Vietnamese
immigrants share the church with many of the original families. It
is the only church in Wichita, KS that still offers the Latin Mass. The
unique challenge was to renovate the space with three distinct cultures
in mind, while being true to the historical needs of the church.
